Anish Ojha
Senior Web Engineer
I specialize in building exceptional, high-quality websites and applications. With a passion for clean code and user-centric design, I turn complex problems into elegant digital experiences.
About Me

Hello! I'm Anish, a frontend engineer around 7 years of experience in crafting beautiful, performant, and accessible digital products. My journey in tech began with a curiosity for how things work, which evolved into a career dedicated to building intuitive interfaces that delight users.
My Philosophy
I believe that great software is born from a blend of art and science. My frontend philosophy centers on three pillars: user-centricity, robust architecture, and continuous improvement. I strive to write code that is not only functional but also maintainable and scalable, ensuring long-term value for any project.
When I'm not coding, you can find me listening to music, exploring stuff related to space, watching anime or experimenting with my cooking skills :P
Work Experience
Worked on improving consumer facing phonepe's merchant platform
- Introduced TypeScript across the project, improving code robustness and reducing runtime errors; migrated all packages to TypeScript v5 and integrated the TS compiler with Rollup builds.
- Implemented Zustand stores for efficient state management, handling authentication and session expiry; built the Payment Gateway (PG) screen for secure transactions.
- Took full ownership of Monorepo migration, scaffolding the transition, migrating utils/constants/interfaces to shared packages, centralizing CSRF handling, and enabling dynamic build triggers via YAML.
- Elevated unit test coverage (PFB: 23% → 75%, Galactus: 35% → 80%) by designing team-wide test strategies and enhancing custom render utilities for centralized state in test cases.
- Resolved 200+ SonarQube code smells (85% reduction) and security hotspots, greatly improving overall code health.
- Migrated Galactus into the monorepo, streamlining dependencies, enabling local builds/tests, and eliminating redundant publishes.
- Led reCAPTCHA → hCaptcha migration, including a feasibility POC, integration, and detailed Confluence guide, reducing developer effort by 10–20%.
Developed and maintained responsive user interfaces for a variety of client websites and web applications.
- Built and optimized scalable React applications, improving load speed and reducing native app size by 11 MB with platform-agnostic integration.
- Delivered end-to-end features (search, offers, payments, checkout flows including EMI and promo offers) integrated with RESTful APIs.
- Enhanced user experience with performance optimizations, skeleton loaders, and close collaboration with designers for UI/UX quality.
- Improved reliability and team standards by implementing Auth interceptor with auto-retry, setting up Sentry/Kibana monitoring, mentoring juniors, and leading code reviews.
Assisted in the development and maintenance of company and client websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Worked on an innovative remittance platform UI enabling businesses to cut costs on overseas transfers compared to traditional banks.
- Performed cross-browser testing and debugging.
- Built interactive dashboards with Chart.js to visualize user activity statistics.
- Implemented responsive design to ensure seamless mobile experience.
- Gained foundational knowledge in version control with Git.
